9934 RTV Gasket Maker Grey
neutral curing RTV silicone sealant to replace or reinforce seals. Does not cause corrosion on metal surfaces, electrical circuits or sensors. Excellent resistance to vibration and shock. Outstanding resistance to constant contact with hot oils. High-temperature resistant up to 350 C° (short term). Covers and seals gaps of up to 6 mm. Skin formation time 15 min, curing time 3mm / 24 hour.
Properties
- Strong, grey silicone sealant
- almost any gasket can be formed in seconds
- flexible, waterproof, oilresistant
- resists aging and weathering without hardening, shrinking, or cracking
- Chemical solvent resistance to motor oil, gasoline, brake fluids, transmission fluids, grease, alcohol, and antifreeze mixtures.
- Not susceptible to cracking and deformation during temperature cycles.
- Maintains high elasticity and strength after hardening.
- Suggested Applications: Bond and seal metal, glass, vinyl, rubber, plastic, concrete, and more
Application
Remove the old gasket and thoroughly clean and degrease the surfaces. Remove the cap, screw on the nozzle and cut it to a level that requires a thick sealant. Apply sealant evenly around one of the surfaces. Completely encircle the assembly holes. Assemble within 15min before skin formation. Tighten screws with handforce. Only tighten the screws by hand until RTV squeezes out slightly. After 1 hour tighten the screws with the required torque. Complete curing takes place after 24 hours.
Note: Consider the thickness of the gasket when assembling. Do not overtighten the fasteners. Remove excess silicone with a dry cloth or an alcoholic cloth. Cover the tube with the cap after use.
